“Thank you for being here.
Taking the first step toward seeking support is a profound act of courage, and I know that.”

I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Maryland, Washington D.C., and Maine and the Founder of Huckleberry Wellness. For over 20 years, I have specialized in helping individuals and systems navigate change, heal from trauma, and ultimately, find their path toward growth.

Finding the right therapist is key. If you have any questions about my approach or whether Huckleberry Wellness is the right fit for you, please send me an email or call the office for a brief, no-pressure chat.

  • My passion lies in providing specialized, culturally competent care, particularly for the first responder and public safety community and their families.

I understand the unique demands, constant stress, and cumulative trauma that comes with a life of service. My work is built on trust, confidentiality, respect, and deep understanding of this unique culture—because you deserve a space where you don't have to explain your job before you can start healing.

    • You may be feeling: Overwhelmed, isolated, experiencing persistent grief, struggling with sleep, or noticing burnout impacting your life and relationships.

    • My goal is: To meet you where you are, provide a safe, confidential space, and equip you with practical, trauma-informed strategies to move forward.

  • Healing is not one-size-fits-all. My background allows me to offer deeply specialized support:

    • Clinical Trauma Focus: My training as a clinical social worker, combined with a Master's degree in Thanatology (the study of grief and loss), provides a foundation for working through complex trauma, acute stress, and significant bereavement.

    • Crisis & Stabilization: Through my work as an embedded behavioral health clinician with law enforcement and as a Mobile Crisis Specialist, I have extensive experience helping people stabilize during high-stress situations.

    • Building Resilience: I use evidence-based approaches to help you process past events, manage anxiety, improve relationships, and cultivate the resilience needed to sustain a demanding career and a fulfilling personal life.

    • EMDR: EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements). Learn more about EMDR here.
